Fairly new to the flow boarding scene, the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale will host the 2013 World Flow Boarding Championship – FlowRider on October 12 – 13. This resort, boasting a double FlowRider set in an arena style layout offers the perfect stage for the best of the best to come battle it out for the WFC titles.
Tour de Scottsdale - October 13
If you are looking for an adrenaline rush and challenging event, you must join this cycling event. This fall is the perfect time to head out onto an open road and feel the cool season breeze. Be ready for the intimidating climbs, fast descent and stunning mountain views of the north Scottsdale.
Scottsdale International Film Festival – October 15
Audience members are the critics at this sneak-preview film series that screens award-winning indie and foreign films before their theatrical releases. Always a surprise, the films are selected from leading festivals by critic Harlan Jacobson. Screenings are introduced and followed by moderated conversations hosted by distinguished guest speakers.
Arizona Taco Festival – October 19 and 20
If you love taco and tequila and love to experience Mexican culture, this event is for you. This is a two-day contest where teams will sell tacos and drink tequilas with the neighbors. Balloon Spooktacular – October 25 – 26
Bring your family and friend experience the thrill and excitement of this Halloween event in the Valley. There are over 20 Hot Air Balloons on display, entertaining live music, food and drink, fireworks and of course, passing out hundreds of pounds of candy for the Trick-or-Treaters.
