SMART BUYS - Mesa Real Estate Arizona

Don't Rule Out A One-Bath Home: The average home today has two and a half baths: usually one for the master bedroom, one to serve the other bedrooms and a half bath near the living spaces. Given this norm, you may not want to consider looking at homes on the market if they only have a single bathroom. Think again — you could be missing out on a great opportunity. Buying a home and then adding a bath can make sound economic sense. For example, if a comparable home with two baths typically sells for more than the one-bath home that gets a, say, $40K bath addition, you're ahead. In addition, there are many utterly charming older homes in superb locations that just need a second bath to make them highly desirable to live in — and to future buyers. With that in mind, you may want to include in your search, homes with one bath (or fewer baths than you really want). If you're thinking of buying a home that doesn't come with enough bathrooms or enough bathroom space, give us a call. We can help you explore a number of creative ways to finance additions.
